This page is a testimony…my testimony.
If you want to read my fancy and official Bio, just scroll down. It is there.
This book is about rock bottom and what that feels like and looks like.
My testimony includes:
~ Addiction
~ An eating disorder
~ A divorce
~ Depression
~ Infertility
~ A plane crash…
…and so much more!!!
You see, rock bottom can lead you to places you never expected. This is not the stuff you sign up for to put on your resume.
I can get addicted to anything that makes me feel better. The most recent turned out to be alcohol. I am an alcoholic, now sober, and in recovery.
On a light-hearted note, I am also addicted to coffee, chips and salsa, hamburgers, ranch dressing, books, Facebook, running, and the list goes on and on!
My rock bottom was during a week in June of 2013. In fact, I am an overachiever, so I hit rock bottom twice that week. In Rock Bottom Book #2, I share my story from 1999 and beyond related to a suicide, a lawsuit and the loss of my counseling career. Now in Rock Bottom Book #3 I share about my journey through divorce and the dating journey in your 40’s and my 29 dates in one year.
What I have learned since that day is here on this video that I recorded on September 12th:
I want to hear from you after you watch it.
If you are here to judge me, you can leave now. I don’t need judgment…I have already endured plenty of that from myself. If you are here to support another broken soul that is loved by God, stay around.
To those of you who are still hiding, running, and hoping no one might see how broken you are, I understand. It was me, too. I know that sharing this message is controversial. I know that you might want to judge me. I challenge you NOT to. I encourage you to think before you do that. I am just like you. I am just willing to share my message in a BIG public way. I feel that this is what God has asked me to do.
